I’m excited—and genuinely honored—to share that I’ve been endorsed by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 150.
Local 150 represents working people who build and maintain the infrastructure our communities rely on every day. Their members know what it takes to deliver projects safely, on time, and done right the first time. Being trusted with their endorsement means a lot because it says something simple and powerful: my record and my priorities line up with working families.
Why this endorsement matters
Local elections can feel far away from “big issues,” but the truth is that county government has a direct impact on people’s daily lives:
How responsibly we manage taxpayer dollars
How we plan and maintain infrastructure
Whether public projects are transparent, competitive, and fair
Whether we support a strong local workforce and good-paying jobs
IUOE Local 150’s support tells me they believe I’ll show up, ask the hard questions, and make decisions based on results—not politics.
I’ve already delivered results by working with labor and the community
As a Coal Valley Trustee, I’ve built my approach around practical problem-solving and accountability. With the support of union members and community advocates, we were able to pass two important measures that improve how public work gets done:
A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) to ensure clarity, safety, and quality on major projects
A Responsible Bidder Ordinance (RBO) to promote fairness, reduce risk, and protect taxpayers from cutting corners and change-order games
Those weren’t symbolic votes. They were real, measurable steps toward better governance and better outcomes.
What I’ll bring to the Rock Island County Board
I’m running for the Rock Island County Board because I believe residents deserve leaders who:
Respect working people and the value of skilled labor
Protect taxpayers with clear standards, transparency, and accountability
Focus on real solutions, not performative politics
Make government work better, with smarter budgeting and fewer wasteful surprises
This endorsement strengthens my momentum—and it motivates me even more to keep earning trust, one conversation and one vote at a time.
Thank you, Local 150
To the leadership and members of IUOE Local 150: thank you for your confidence and support. I don’t take it lightly. I’ll keep showing up, listening, and delivering.
If you want to help us keep building momentum, I’d love your support—whether that’s volunteering, sharing this post, requesting a yard sign, or contributing to the campaign.
