The Coal Valley Municipal Park was crawling with spooky fun this weekend as ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and tiny dinosaurs filled the lot for the Villageās annual Trunk R Treat event.
Even though the weather was cold and a little rainy, that didnāt dampen the Halloween spirit. Families bundled up, car trunks transformed into candy stations, and laughter echoed through the park as the community came together to celebrate.
And hereās the best part ā every scary monster left a little sweeter. From vampires who forgot to hiss after getting chocolate to werewolves wagging their tails over gummies, it turns out that a little sugar can go a long way toward making monsters friendly.
Over the course of the evening, more than 1,400 pieces of candy were handed out to eager trick-or-treaters ā proof that Coal Valleyās community spirit is as strong as ever.
Despite the chill in the air, hearts were warm, smiles were bright, and by the end of the night, even the rain couldnāt wash away the fun.
Until next Halloween, Coal Valley ā keep those pumpkins glowing and those candy buckets ready.
